Move Out Requirements (Complete within 7 days)
To receive your security deposit refund, you must:
Required Actions:
- Give 7 days notice prior to move out (text or email)
- Send forwarding address to office (text or email)
- Pay all outstanding rent and fees
- Ensure room condition requirements are met
- Leave keys in your room upon move-out

Room Condition Requirements:
- Remove ALL personal belongings from your room
- Remove ALL personal items from your assigned kitchen cabinets and fridge space
- Clean your room thoroughly (see cleaning checklist below)
- Ensure room furnishings are undamaged (bed, dresser, TV, etc.)
- Remove any stickers, posters, or unauthorized wall alterations
- Replace any burned-out light bulbs in your room
Trash Removal:
- Remove all personal trash from room and assigned spaces
- Do not leave items in common areas or outside the property
Room Cleaning Checklist
Your Room:
- Vacuum/sweep floors thoroughly
- Wipe down all surfaces (dresser, nightstand, windowsill)
- Clean inside and outside of any assigned mini-fridge
- Dust TV and electronics
- Clean light fixtures
- Spot clean walls if needed
- Remove all personal items from closet/storage
Assigned Kitchen Spaces:
- Clean assigned cabinets (inside and out)
- Clean assigned refrigerator/freezer sections
- Remove all food items and personal kitchen supplies
Move-Out Timeline
Day 1-2: Give notice, start packing, start cleaning
Day 3-5: Remove belongings, deep clean room and kitchen spaces
Day 6: Final inspection, replace light bulbs if needed
Day 7: Submit forwarding address, complete online inspection, leave keys
Deposit Refund Process
Your deposit will be mailed to your forwarding address within 30 days of key return. Charges may be deducted for:
- Cleaning fees
- Damage repairs
- Trash removal
- Unpaid rent/fees
