Apartment move-out checklist

Complete all the items below to receive a security deposit refund:

BEFORE MOVE-OUT:

  • Give 30 days notice by sending a text or email to the rental office
  • Pay all outstanding rent and fees
  • Complete a change of address with USPS. Text or email proof to the rental office.
  • Remove ALL personal belongings and trash
  • Complete all cleaning (see “cleaning requirements” section below)
  • Repair any damage (holes, scratches, panels, etc.)
  • Replace burned-out bulbs and broken blinds
  • (if applicable) Remove exterior antennas
  • (if applicable) Make sure all furniture is cleaned, and any damage is reported to the rental office

ON MOVE-OUT DAY:

  • Complete inspection and select what address your deposit will be mailed to: https://renteroffice.com/inspection/
  • Leave keys in apartment
  • Text 267-702-6773 to confirm you have moved-out and left your keys in the rental

CLEANING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Kitchen: Clean inside/outside of fridge, stove, and all cabinets
    • IMPORTANT: $500 will be deducted from the deposit if stove & fridge aren’t cleaned!
  • Bathroom: Clean tub/shower, toilet, sink, cabinets, and mirrors
  • Rooms/Hallways: Vacuum/sweep floors, clean windows, wipe surfaces, spot clean walls
  • All space: Remove all food, personal items, stickers, posters

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • Deposit are refunded within 30 days to forwarding address
  • All refunds will be sent by check, no exceptions
  • There is a check replacement fee of $30 for any lost or uncashed checks that require replacement
  • Deductions made for: cleaning, repairs, trash removal, unpaid fees, missing requirements
